SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam Pattern
The SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam Pattern follows a computer-based online test (CBT) format, where candidates are provided 60 minutes (80 minutes for PWD candidates) to complete the paper. The Tier-I paper consists of 100 questions, and each question carries 2 marks.

The SSC has introduced a Revised SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern for the upcoming 2024 exam. The Tier-II exam will consist of three sections, each having two modules. SSC CHSL Skill Test 2024
Skill tests are an essential part of the selection process for various posts in the SSC CHSL examination. Below are the details of the skill tests required for different positions:
1. Skill Test for Data Entry Operator (DEO):
For the post of Data Entry Operator, candidates are required to have a data entry speed of 8,000 Key Depressions per hour. The skill test duration is 15 minutes, during which candidates must type an English document containing about 2000-2200 strokes/key depressions.
2. Skill Test for DEO in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG):
Candidates applying for the DEO position in the Office of the C&AG should have a speed of 15,000 key depressions per hour. The skill test duration is 15 minutes, and candidates will be provided with printed matter in English containing about 3700-4000 key-depressions to be entered in the test computer.
3. Skill Test for Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants (PA/SA):
For the positions of LDC/JSA and PA/SA, candidates must achieve a speed of 10,500 key depressions per hour. The skill test duration is 15 minutes, and candidates will be provided with printed matter in English containing about 9000 key-depressions/hour to be entered in the test computer.
